About Janice
Janice's journey into yoga began with her interest in alternative medicine which led her to the study of Ayurvedic principals. Her introduction to yoga came in 2005 during a stay at an Ayurvedic facility in Kerala, India, where yoga was practiced. Janice was so inspired by what she had learned there, she returned to Ottawa to learn more about yoga, and the many forms in which it is practiced in the west. In 2008, Janice travelled to India to complete intensive Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh under the guidance of Yogi Vishvektu and Chetana Panwar.
After 30 years of project management and travel to over a 100 countries, Janice has a wealth of life and travel experiences - and today her focus is to share her passion for yoga and spiritual places. At her classes in Ottawa, Canada and on her travels, Janice leads her students through some of the most graceful postural sequences, and teaches breathing that leaves them focused, illuminated and energized.
Janice's philosophy is that yoga is for everyone. There are no age or physical limitations that should stop anyone from benefiting from yoga's incredible power to improve physical wellness and bring emotional peace and clarity. She believes that people can begin practicing yoga at any age and at their own pace. Janice's mission is to help people explore their abilities and uncover the incredible potential in their bodies through yoga.
