Qigong, "energy work," is an ancient system of gentle exercises, breathing techniques, and meditation from China. Qigong practice can improve health and vitality, make the mind tranquil, and deepen your connection with nature. Qigong is the most scientifically proven method of complementary medicine. It can help you resist stress and maintain a high level of positive energy. There are many styles of qigong. Many people consider Yi Quan ("Mindfulness Healing and Martial Art") the most important of them all, as it trains students in the vocabulary on which all qigong is built-- how to stand and move with balance, power, and grace. Experiential exercises will be complemented by discussion of qigong principles and philosophy, connections to Yoga and other disciplines, and entertaining stories of the early Yi Quan Masters. The program is open to beginners and all levels.

Winner of the Alyce and Elmer Green Award for Innovation and Lifetime Achievement in Energy Medicine, is an internationally renowned health educator and Qigong Master. He has more than forty years experience and is director of the Qigong Research & Practice Center (www.qigonghealing.com) in Colorado. Ken's work has been sponsored by the American Cancer Society, the Mayo Clinic, the Canadian Ministry of Health, and numerous universities. Ken speaks the Chinese language, and his teachings helped gain scientific acceptance for Qigong in both China and the West. A former editor for Yoga Journal, Natural Health, and other magazines, he is the author of The Way of Qigong and Honoring the Medicine, both published by Random House Canada, as well as best-selling Sounds True audio and DVD courses. Ken is known for his enthusiastic and engaging teaching style and has taught more than 30,000 students.
